Hello 2011. The last weeks of 2010 were spent in Illinois, with an extended stay courtesy of the NYC blizzard. Even such, it was a lovely little Christmas.

Before I left, B & I attempted to make clementine juice from my newly-purchased juicer. It took about 15 clementines to yield about half a cup of juice, but the fruits of our labor (ha ha) were that much more satisfying because of the elbow grease.

I didn't get a chance to get a mini xmas tree this year, so I grew one with cardboard and crystals. We also purchased a mini-tree from a very nice tree vendor on Houston.

I'm grateful for such wonderful people in my life, and I was a very lucky girl this year.

Now, onwards an upwards in 2011. First thing accomplished: matching hangers for my garment rack.

A Trip to the Natural History Museum

Last week Ben and I took advantage of his work-affiliated discount and took a trip to the Natural History Museum. These animals are all very cooperative and stand still for their portraits (the human is another story). It's embarrassing I've been in this city for so many years and have only been to the Natural History Museum twice. With the MoMA membership I gave Ben for his birthday, hopefully next year will be the "year of the museum".

Hi.

hotel delmano

Hi, I'm Nicole. I'm almost thirty-something and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I started this blog in December of 2010 to coincide with some pretty huge life changes (a new job, moving mid-way across the country twice, approaching the big three-oh).

Mostly it will consist of photos. At least that's my plan. I take a lot of film photos (mostly with the lomo lc-a+, but also holga, diana+, yashica...the list goes on) and have been experimenting lately with a digital SLR (canon rebel XSi).

I'm sure I'll add to this entry as I go along and feel like sharing some more details. In the meantime, here we go!
